French director, playwright and choreographer Pascal Rambert directed the T2G theatre in Gennevilliers near Paris from 2007 to 2016, establishing it as a national centre for contemporary performing arts. Among others, he is an associate artist of the National Theatre of Strasbourg and Milan's Piccolo Theatre. Rambert's plays have been translated into many languages, his most successful to date being Clôture de l'amour (End of a Love), which was also shown at the GSTT festival Eurothalia 2022. It has been performed at the Avignon Theatre Festival, in New York, Rome, Hamburg and Beijing, among others. As a director and writer, Rambert works worldwide. In addition to numerous other prizes he has received, the French Academy awarded him the Theatre Prize in 2016 for his entire body of work.
