Eszter Tompa grew up in Târgu Mureş. She learned Romanian and German in school. She studied at the ATHANOR Academy of Theatre and Film in Burghausen (Bavaria) in professor David Esrig's class. She played theatre in Romania for a year.
She is a founding member of the Institut für Glücksfindung (the Institute for Finding Happiness) in Munich and she worked with Ada Milea. Tompa was also involved in many European film productions.
Now she is a freelancing actor, performing in several languages, who also develops her own projects.
